Businessman stabbed dead in Jessore

JESSORE: A businessman was stabbed to death by hijackers in Bejpara Chayabithi road area on Thursday midnight.

The deceased was identified as Kamrul Islam, 35, a dealer of mobile phone company Robi and a resident of Bejpara Chayabithi area.

The hijackers also robbed Kamrul Islam money bag.

A local named Lutfar Rahman told banglanews, “Four hijackers riding on two motorcycles stabbed Kamrul while he was returning home on his bike around 12:30am.”

Locals rushed him to Jessore Medical College Hospital where duty doctor declared him dead.

Lutfar Rahman said the amount of money in the bag could not be known immediately.

Confirming the matter Jessore Kotwali Model Thana SI Byzed told banglanews police has been sent to the spot.
