NILPHAMARI: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Friday held a school teacher from Kaliganj frontier for his alleged involved in leaking secret information of Bangladesh to Indian Border Security Force (BSF).
The detainee was identified as Mir Masud Tarek alias Khokon, son of Mokaddes Ali of West Kharibari village and an assistant teacher of West Kharibari High School.
Besides, BGB also recovered some important documents from his possession.
Later, he was handed over to Dimla thana police in the evening.
Dimla Frontier’s Thanarhat BGB Camp Commander Bachchu Molla told banglanews, “Patrolling BGB personnel held him while he was illegally intruding into India. He has also been leaking Bangladesh’s secret information to BSF members for TK 5,000 a month for a long time with the help of Indian cattle trader.”
Dimla thana OC Monirul Islam told banglanews, BGB Kaliganj Frontier Camp Nayek Subedar Jakir Hossain filed a case regarding the matter with the thana.
