BTA protests stopping coaching centre

DHAKA: Bangladesh Teachers’ Association (Bashar-Salam) has threatened of tough movement if the government’s decision to close coaching centre is not withdrawn within one week.

The leaders of the organization came up with the warning while talking to journalists in a press conference at the Dhaka Reporters’ Unity in the city Monday.

The faction of Bangladesh Teachers’ Association has also protested the government decision to close coaching centre without increasing salary and allowance.

They also threatened to shut the educational institutions if their demand is not met within the stipulated time.

Abul Bashar, president of the teachers’ association read out the written statement at the press conference.

Teachers would not stop coaching business if their salaries-allowances are not increased, he said.
