CHHITAGONG: German Ambassador on Wednesday expressed keen interest of being a partner of the effort of setting up deep sea port in Chittagong.
German Ambassador to Bangladesh Dr Albrecht Conze made the comment at a city hotel while talking to reporters after two-day visit to different districts.
“The German government wants to be a partner in building of deep sea port in the port city,” Albrecht Conze said adding, “German will be partner of any sort of activities of the Bangladesh if the government wishes.”
The diplomat added that the German government is interested to build the sea port as the port would contribute a lot in the field of international business.
The envoy said, “Bangladesh is going to be established as a self reliant country.”
“In future Bangladesh will be able to enrich its economy without any loan of the foreign countries.”
German Ambassador termed Chittagong as the most suitable place of the country.
He also pledged that German cooperation for any sort of development of the country in future as well.
