DHAKA: Jagannath University authorities Thursday suspended three students temporarily due to harassing two businessmen of the area.
The suspended students are Hayat Ali Rizvi of Statistics Department, Zahidullah Mamun of Political Science Department and Masud of Geography and Environment Department.
Businessmen Muktar Hossain and Babul of Old Dhaka locked into an altercation with them in university area on Tuesday last following a trifle matter.
At one stage, the students beat the businessmen and harassed them, university sources said.
The university authorities ousted them from the university on the basis of pre-investigation as they tarnished the image of the institution through the mugging incident.
