DHAKA: Bangladesh Ambassador to the USA Akramul Qader visited the Google Headquarters in San Jose, California on June 8 and interacted with the Google officials.
As a part of the Sovereign Challenge Conference on social media organized by the US Special Operations Command, Ambassador Akramul Qader attended briefing sessions conducted by leading social media organizations such as Google, facebook, craiglist and craigconnects.
A delegation of Bangladeshi professionals working at Google called on Ambassador Qader and exchanged ideas on how they can contribute to the strengthening of ICT infrastructure in Bangladesh.
Twelve software engineers of Bangladesh origin now working at Google met the Ambassador.
Ambassador Qader told the Google officials that to reach out to the vast market in Bangladesh and exploit the services from its skilled IT graduates Google should seriously consider opening an office there.
He assured all cooperation from the Bangladesh Embassy and Government in that respect.
The Google officials led by software engineer Shishir Khan thanked Ambassador Qader for visiting the Silicon Valley.
