DHAKA: The share-market investors protested incessant price fall and staged demonstration in front of the main gate of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Thursday morning.
The agitating demonstrators again sought the intervention of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to protect the county’s capital market.
A spot account said some leaders of Oikya Parisad, in front of DSE Bhaban at 10:00am, urged general investors to join their protest demonstration.
Earlier on Wednesday, leaders of Bangladesh Investors Oikya Parisad called the brokerage houses to halt trade on Thursday following the incessant price fall.
General Secretary of the organization Abdur Razzak said on Wednesday, “We requested the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to shut the server down on Thursday as we will not participate in the trade.”
