55,752 employed under Nat’l Service Prog

DHAKA: Some 56,801 unemployed people received three-month long training under the National Service Programme in Kurigram, Barguna, Gopalganj districts.

Of them, 55,752 people were given temporary employment facilities in different organization of the upazila.

Youth and Sports Minister M Ahad Ali Sarkar came up with the statement at a meeting at the secretariat on Tuesday, government sources said.

The progress of district training and employment opportunity in Kurigram, Barguna and Gopalganj districts was reviewed in the meeting.

Among others, Youth and Sports Secretary Mahbub Ahmed, other high officials of the ministry were present in the programme.
