DHAKA, BAGERHAT: Three suspected members of forest bandit Akash Bahini were killed in a gunfight with Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) personnel in Sharankhola area on Wednesday morning.
RAB-8 Operation Officer Captain Ershad confirmed the matter to banglanews.
Sundarban East Divisional DFO Mihir Kumar Do said that the incident took place in Shaplar Khal area under Sharankhola Range.
Officer-in-Charge of Sharankhola Range Abul Kalam Azad told banglanews, three suspected members of Akash Bahini were killed in a gunfight with RAB that lasted from 10:00am to 11:30am in the morning.
He said: “We saw the bodies and are conducting search drives.”
