DHAKA: US Ambassador to Dhaka Dan W Mozena suddenly met Opposition Leader Khaldea Zia, also BNP chairperson, on Wednesday night.
The US diplomat went to Khaleda’s Gulshan residence around 8:00pm stayed till 9:30pm.
Personal Assistant to the BNP chairperson Advocate Shamsur Rahman Shimul Biswas and personal secretary Saleh Ahmed were present during the crucial parley.
Party sources said they might have discussed different issues, including Dr Muhammad Yunus, Grameen Bank, caretaker government system and Garments workers’ leader Aminul killing.
