PM urges ICT to consider people’s expectations

JATIYA SANGSAD: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Sunday urged the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) to consider people’s expectations as well while delivering war crimes verdicts.

The premier, also ruling Awami League president, made the plea while addressing the parliament in the evening.

She said, “The tribunals will deliver verdicts. But they will do so according to law. Still I will request them to take into account the people`s expectations as well.”

Hasina told the House: “I am calling upon the judges through the parliament.”
