MADARIPUR: Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan said there is nothing new in collecting tolls at different offices and roads.
He said, “It was a regular matter during BNP-led-four-party alliance regime. But, we have controlled it.”
He came up with the remarks while talking to journalists after distributing agricultural tools among farmers in the district on Friday noon.
Regarding the issue of toll collection at ferry ghats, he said, “We have already taken necessary measures in this regard. The local administration has been asked to take initiative.”
The minister distributed some 23 spray machines, 15 foot pumps, 10 power tillers and 48 power sprays among farmers.
