Resigned BUET teachers joining ministry meet

DHAKA: Deans and departmental heads of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), who resigned recently demanding the resignation of the university vice-chancellor and pro-vice-chancellor, will join the meeting called by education ministry.

Teachers’ Association president professor Majibur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews24.com.

Of the resigned teachers, 20 were invited to attend the meeting.

Moreover, the teachers also called for a symbolic mass hunger-strike around 11:00am and an emergency meeting of the Teachers’ Association around 4:00pm on Monday, the association treasurer said to banglanews24.
