College student killed in Jhenidah

JHENIDAH: A college student was killed by miscreants in Gualpara village under Shailkupa upazila in the district on Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Bipul Hossain, 24, son of Fazlur Rahman of Char Shantidanga village under Kushtia sadar upazila and a college student of Shailkupa Dukhi Mahmud College.

Shailkupa Thana OC Saidul Islam Shahin told banglanews, “On information, police rushed in and sent the body to Jhenaidah Sadar Hospital for autopsy at around 11:00am.”

The reason behind the murder could not be known immediately but he might have been killed by his rivals over establishing supremacy in Sheikhpara bazar area and tender business in Islamic University,” OC added.
A murder case was filed with the Thana in this connection.
