12 Shibir activists held in Rajshahi

RAJSHAHI: Police, in a special drive, held 12 activists of Chhatra Shibir from different areas under four police stations of the district Saturday morning.

Of the detainees, nine were held from Boalia Model Thana area, two from Motihar and one from Mukhdum Thana.

On the other hand, police, in a special drive, held an activist of Islami Chhatra Shibir with 12 fresh bombs and explosive making equipments from a mess in Meherchandi Purbapara area adjacent to Rajshahi University (RU) earlier in the day.

Boalia Model Thana OC Alamgir Hossain said, “Police will seek a seven-day remand plea after producing Nurul Huda before the court in the afternoon.”
