DHAKA: Some 50 grenades and 72 fire arms were yet to locate which were looted during BDR mutiny at capital’s Philkhana.
Some personal firearms were also ransacked in that carnage that took place on February 25 and 26 in 2009.
State Minister for Home Shamsul Haque Tuku on Thursday told the parliament on behalf of the Home Minister MK Alamgir for latter’s absence in the House.
Some 332 firearms and grenades were looted during the carnage, said the minister.
He said some 211 grenades, 83 pistols, 17 rifles and short machine guns were looted in the mutiny.
And 11 personal firearms including pistols and guns were ransacked, he added.
Only 210 firearms were recovered of which 161 are grenades, the minister told the parliament.
Regarding the boarder killing, the minister said some 717 Bangladeshi citizens were killed in the boarder in last 17 years since 1996.
