Accused Shakil’s father dies

PATUAKHALI: Father of Biswajit murder-accused Shakil died of heart attack early Saturday at Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital.

The deceased was identified as Md Ansar Mia, 65 of Patuakhali town.

Sources said Ansar was taken to the hospital after he fell sick in his sister’s house in Rupatoli area of Barisal around 5:00am.

Later, he died at about 7:00am while undergoing treatment here.

Family members are heading to home with the body around 10:00am.

Shakil’s sister-in-law Jahnara Akhter Shirin confirmed it to banglanews.
