DHAKA: The government on Thursday appointed 31 former government officials, economists, bankers, educationists and businesspeople as directors to seven state-run banks and financial institutions.
The disclosure came from a government circular issued by Bank and Financial Institutions Department of Finance Ministry on Thursday.
Details of some of the directors, who have given appointed for three years, were not available immediately.
At present, 46 directorial posts at the state-run banks and financial institutions are vacant.
In this context, the government appointed the directors to seven state-run banks and financial intuitions.
They are Sonali Bank, Agrani Bank, Krishi Bank, Janata Bank, BDBL, BASIC Bank and Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank.
