BARISAL: The High Court on Wednesday granted bail to a number of 28 leaders and activists, including President and General Secretary of Barishal district unit of BNP.
A HC bench comprising Justice Siddiqur Rahman Mia and Justice Badiur Rahman granted the bail for eight weeks.
Talking to banglanews, district unit BNP President Ahsan Habib Kamal said they got the bail in a case filed against them on December 10.
On December 9, police filed the case accusing 300 named and unidentified people for their alleged involvement in vandalism and obstructing law enforcers to perform their duty during countrywide road blockade programme of the 18-party alliance.
