BARISAL: A man was killed and 19 others injured in a head-on clash between two buses in Mahilara Bazar area on Dhaka-Barisal Highway Thursday.
The deceased was identified as bus helper Azad, 35, son of Lalu Khan, hailed from Bijoypur of Gournadi upazila.
Sub-Inspector of Highway Thana Abdur Razzak told banglanews that a Faridpur-bound passenger bus collided with Nathullahbad- bound bus from Bhurghata, leaving 20 passengers injured.
The injured were admitted to Gournadi Hospital.
Later, critically injured Azad was shifted to Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
