2 JMB cadres held in Rajshahi

RAJSHAHI: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) personnel, in a drive, held two listed cadres of the banned militant outfit Jama’atul Mujahedeen Bangladesh (JMB) from Hamirkutsa Bazar area under Baghmara upazila late on Friday.

The detainees are Mostafizur Rahman alias Juta Mintu, 40, Kalupara village JMB cadre and Majnur Rahman Molla alias Hockey stick Boltu, 52, of Palashi village.
 
RAB-5 Militant Control Cell ASP Mirza Golam Sarwar told banglanews, “Acting on tip off, we raided Hamirkutsa Bazar area and picked them up around 10:30pm.”

He said, “They are known in the area as aides of JMB chief Shaikh Abdur Rahman and its second-in command Bangla Bhai.”

“They are also the charge sheeted criminals in explosive case,” the Rab official added.
