DHAKA : Former adviser of caretaker government Dr Akbar Ali Khan said the government should continue discussion with the World Bank (WB) to manage fund from the bank for much-talked-about Padma Bridge construction.
Dr Akbar came up with the observation immediate after the official announcement of fund cancellation by the WB to Padma Bridge.
The former bureaucrat also opined that it would be better than any other way to manage the fund from the WB for the much-talked-about Padma Bridge construction.
If Malaysia or any other country invests to the construction of Padma Bridge, their aim would be to gain much profit from the project, he said.
The noted economist also said, “So, it will be much better to construct the bridge with the financial help of the World Bank.”
