Ashulia RMG workers’ clash injures 30

SAVAR, DHAKA: At least 30 people injured in a clash between two groups of workers of Mahbub Apparels over establishing supremacy in Ashulia Pukurpar area under the upazila Thursday.

Of the injured, critically injured were admitted to local hospitals.

Workers and police sources said supporters of floor in-charge group and production in-charge group locked into a clash in the area following a long standing dispute, leaving 30 workers injured of both sides.

Ashulia Industrial Police Director Golam Rauf Khan told banglanews that the situation is now under control as the factory went on vacation.

Additional police forces were deployed in the area after the incident, he added.
