Stocks witnessing fall

DHAKA: Trading on the country’s two bourses is underway showing antipathy in share-price indices on Wednesday as part of its recent trend of fall.

The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) general index shed over 54 points minus to stand at 4,305 at 12:51 pm on the day trading.

Trade deals stood at 37,297 with transaction at Tk 845 million.

Of the issues traded, 18 advanced, 204 declined and 20 remained unchanged.

AAMRATECH topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 69 million having changed hands during the time.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8,286 by dropping over 100 points at 12:51 pm.

Out of the issues traded, 12 gained, 128 declined and 19 remained unchanged.
