Section 144 imposed in Bagerhat

MORRELGANJ, BAGERHAT: The local administration Sunday imposed section 144 in the Morrelganj municipal Sadar area to avert an imminent clash between two factions of Awami League as they convened programmes at same place on the same day.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Johar Ali imposed section 144 in the area to be enforced from 10:00am till 10:00pm.

Sources said apprehending disturbance in law-and-order, the local administration imposed section 144 on the venue and surrounding areas.
