Cyber intelligence looking into death threat to PM

DHAKA: Cyber Crime Department of Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Branch of Police is looking into the death threat to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on facebook.

A 48-hour progress report of police submitted to Dhaka Chief Magistrate Court disclosed the matter Sunday.

The University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) authorities submitted a report on the bio-data and character of its teacher Abidur Rahman Rana who threatened the premier on the Facebook that he would shoot her dead, said Biplob Kishore Shil, Inspector of Shahbagh Thana.

On April 23, president of Janonetri Parishad AB Siddique filed a general diary (GD) against Abidur Rahman Rana accusing that he issued a death threat to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
