Neymar is Superman, says Santos president

Sao Paulo: Santos president Luis Alvaro Ribeiro has likened Neymar to Superman after the youngster played on consecutive days.

The 20-year-old returned to Brazil just hours after appearing for the national team during their 3-0 win over Sweden on Wednesday so that he could represent Santos against Figueirense the following day.

Neymar was on the scoresheet and provided an assist as Santos secured a vital 3-1 victory away from home.

His performance prompted high praise from the club`s president.

"I suspect that his father came from Krypton and brought the boy (Neymar) to Earth in a rocket because the only thing that makes sense is if he is Superman," Alvaro Ribeiro joked to Globo Esporte.

Santos` next match is against Corinthians on Sunday.
