GOPALGANJ: At least 30 people, including two police personnel, were injured in a clash between residents of two villages following a trifling matter in Tungipara upazila of the district on Friday.
The injured police personnel are Officer-in-Charge of Tungipara Thana Habibullah Sarker and Assistant Sub-Inspector Enamul Haq. They were rushed to Upazila Health Complex.
The identity of the others injured could not be known immediately.
Investigation Officer of Tungipara Thana Nur Hosen told banglanews that Shafiqul and tempo driver Liton locked into an altercation following fair of tempo.
Later, the villagers of the two men came to the spot with domestic lethal weapons and locked into a fierce clash, leaving 30 injured critically, he added.
