MOULVIBAZAR: Police held six Jamaat-Shibir activists during the eight hours hartal in Kulaura, Juri and Baralekha area of the district on Wednesday apprehending subversive acts.
The detainees are Kulaura union Jamaat President Mostafa, Kulaura Degree College Shibir Secretary Jami Ahmed, member of Shibir Riad, Tanvir, Abdul Kadir, and Kamrul Islam of the area.
Police told that apprehending subversive act they detained three persons from different places of the town on Tuesday night.
During the hartal hours, police detained two persons from Juri and one from Baralekha while they were picketing.
Moulvibazar District Islami Chhatra Shibir Publicity Affairs Secretary Saiful Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
Meanwhile, the hartal was observed in the district.
