British MP meets Khaleda Monday

DHAKA: British parliament member Alistair Burt will pay a courtesy visit to opposition BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia on Monday.

BNP source said the British Conservative Party lawmaker is likely to meet the former Bangladeshi premier at her Gulshan party office on Monday noon.

Burt is the Member of Parliament (MP) for North East Bedfordshire. He is currently Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
