JHENIDAH: Police personnel arrested a suspected arms dealer at Kaliganj upazila of the district at early hours of Saturday.
Police said they recovered two Indian air-rifles from his possession.
Officer-in-Charge of Kaliganj Thana Kamruzzaman told banglanews: “Acting on a tip-off, police arrested Azim Uddin alias Sagar around 2:00am and recovered the arms from Rangpur- bound BRTC bus.”
Azim, son of Ashrafudullah, hailed from Andulia village of Chougachha upazila of Jessore district.
A case has been filed with Kaliganj thana in this connection under arms act.
