RAJSHAHI: A man was found dead in Shrirampur area of the city on the bank of Padma River on Thursday noon.
The identity of the diseased could not be known immediately.
Rajpara Thana SI Shamim Hossain told banglanews, “Locals informed police about a male body, with a Lungi and Panjabi, lying in the area on the bank of Padma River around 12pm.”
On information, police rushed in and recovered the body.
“The body bore some marks of injuries. He might have been murdered few days ago,” the SI added.
The body would be sent to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) morgue and an unnatural death case would be filled in this connection, he informed.
