Tk 13.88 to Tk 14.99/unit

DHAKA: Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) Monday fixed the uninterrupted power price ranging from Tk 13.88 to Tk 14.99 per unit for coomercial use.

BERC Chairman Syed Yusuf Hossain came up with the announcement at a press conference held at his office in the city in the afternoon.

He said: "The new decision will be effective from June 1."

The regulatory body boss told journalists that it has also fixed the bulk price for uninterrupted power from Tk 8.10 to Tk 9.70 for power distributors.

Power Development Board (PDB) would get the bulk price from the different distributing companies, he added.
