Stocks end higher

DHAKA: Investors saw gain in benchmark indices of the country’ bourses on Wednesday.

The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) general index rose over 50 points to stand at 4142 million at the close on the fourth trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 109,304 with transaction at Tk 3692 million. Of the issues traded, 203 advanced, 41 declined and 25 remained unchanged.
 
Of the issues traded, 204 advanced, 48 declined and 18 remained unchanged.

UNIQUEHRL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 227 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were BSCCL, TITASGAS, RNSPIN, GP, JAMUNA OIL, KEYA COSMETICS, SQUARE PHARMACEUTICALS LTD, SUMITPOWER and SAIHAMCOT.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 7977 by gaining over 98 points.

Out of the issues traded, 125 gained, 50 declined and 14 remained unchanged.
