GAZIPUR: Some 13 officials of National University, including Vice chancellor and pro-vice chancellor were sued on charge of irregularities, corruption and cheating in recruitment.
AKM Mozammel Haque, a ruling party MP of Gajpur-1 constituency, filed the criminal case with Joydebpur thana on Tuesday.
Officer-in-Charge of Joydebpur thana Kamruzzaman PPM confirmed it to banglanews. But he declined to make any comment.
As per case statement, the accused are Dr. Mohammad Sahidullah, vice chancellor the university, Dr. Tofayel Ahmed, pro-vice chancellor, Registrar professor Kazi Faruk Ahmed, ex-registrar Firoj Ahmed Akhtar, proctor SM Tawhid Jamal, Assistant Registrar Siddikur Rahmaan, deputy registrar (admin) Fahima Sultana, Assistant Registrar Dilruba Begum, Deputy Controller Md Badruzzaman, acting registrar Molla Mahuz Al Hossain, Assistant Registrar (salary & welfare) Md. Sahab Uddin, Assistant controller Md. Mofazzal Hossain and section officer Abul Hossain.
Anti Corruption Commission will investigate the case.
