Aleem Dar honoured by ICC for officiating in 150 ODIs

London: Pakistan`s Aleem Dar has been honoured by the International Cricket Council for becoming only the seventh umpire to officiate in 150 ODIs. Dar reached the milestone at the Lord`s which hosted the opening ODI between England and Australia on Friday.

The 40-year-old made his umpiring debut in 2000 and has since won the David Shepherd Trophy three successive years. En route to his 150th ODI, Dar - won the David Shepherd Trophy for the third successive year - has built himself a credible reputation based on his on-field officiating reputation. He was promoted to the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Umpires in 2002 and has since, supervised the finals of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2007 and 2011.

On Friday, Dar was presented with a memento by Javagal Srinath at the post-match presentation ceremony.
