BNP factions clash injures 11 in Jamalpur

JAMALPUR: At least 11 people were injured in a clash between two factions of BNP during processions called protesting against the arrest of BNP Acting Secretary General on Monday evening.

Witnesses said supporters of central BNP executive member and upazila BNP president Mostafizur Rahman Babul and Melandah municipal BNP president Hazi Didar Pasha took out separate processions protesting against the arrest of Mirza Fakhrul Islam.

Later, the groups got into a clash when the processions came in front of upazila livestock office.   
When contacted, Melandah Thana OC Billal Hossain refused to talk to banglanews about the matter.
