JHENIDAH: Two Juba Dal leaders were hacked by miscreants at Muradi Nagar village under Sadar municipality on Friday night.
The injured are—vice president of Muradi Nagar village Juba Dal Prince Mahmud, 22, and organizing secretary Setu, 18.
General Secretary of district BNP Abdul Malek said, “Some unidentified miscreants hacked the leaders at about 8pm while they were returning home from town, leaving the critically injured.”
They were rushed to Jhenidah Sadar Hospital. Later, Prince was shifted to Faridpur Medical College Hospital as his condition deteriorated.
Jhenidah Sadar thana OC Iqbal Bahar said, “Police is investigating the matter.”
District BNP alleged that they were attacked by “Awami goons”.
