Khaleda`s alternative budget proposal Jun 5

DHAKA: Opposition BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is set to place her party’s alternative budget proposals for fiscal 2012-13 at a city hotel on June 5.

A party source said the former Premier is likely to present her upcoming budget proposals through a programme at about 3pm.

Among others, noted educationalists, journalists, agriculturalists, economists and politicians of the country were invited to attend the programme.

She is expected give top priority to agriculture, industry, education and communications sectors while placing her pre-budget proposals, said source.

BNP started the practice of placing budget proposals of its own in 2010.
