DHAKA: A month-long International Jamdani Taant Bastra Fair began on the premises of Siddeshwari Girls’ School in city’s Bailey Road.
Industries Minister Dilip Barua inaugurated the fair as the chief guest Saturday.
Bangladesh Folk Art and Crafts Foundation (BFACF) Director Rabindra Gope attended the function as special guest.
Bangladesh Weavers’ Product and Manufacturing Business Association (BWPMBA) has organized the fair.
Among others, BWPMBA president SM Khalilur Rahman, senior vice- president Pobitra Paul and executive committee members M Salauddin Osman Gani and Arif Bhuiyan were present.
A total of 81 stalls have been set up in the fair.
The fair will remain open to all from 9:00am to 10:00pm every day.
