Hartal observed in Pirojpur

PIROJPUR: The dawn-to-dusk hartal, called by the locals in protest against the demarcation of parliamentary constituency in Swarupkati upazila of the district, was observed on Sunday.

Earlier, local inhabitants called the hartal in protest against the proposal of making demarcation of parliamentary constituency after unifying Swarupkati with Nazirpur.

Meanwhile, all main political parties observed the hartal under the banner of general public. But, SSC examination was kept exemption from the hartal.
