DHAKA: Leaders and activists of the main opposition BNP and its front organizations started gathering in front of party’s central office at city’s Naya Paltan area defying incessant rain to make the scheduled protest rally a success.
BNP called the protest rally for Tuesday demanding release of party’s joint organizing secretary Nasiruddin Pintu and other leaders and activists of the party along with other associates.
The rally was set at 3:00pm, said a party source.
BNP standing committee member Tariqul Islam will address the demonstration rally as chief guest.
Moreover, opposition Chief Whip Jainul Abdin Farroque, joint secretary general Aman Ullah Aman, international affairs secretary Nazim Uddin Alam will attend the rally, party sources said.
