NOAKHALI: At least two people were killed and 11 others injured in a road accident in Banglabazar area on Noakhali-Laxmipur route under Begumganj upazila of the district Monday.
The deceased was identified as Shahnur Begum, 40, and M Faruq Hossain, 35, hailed from Kalna village under Lalmohan upazila of Bhola district.
Sub-Inspector of Chandraganj Highway Police Outpost Shyamol Dutta told banglanews that a Dhaka-bound passenger bus knocked a pickup van carrying a body, leaving 13 people injured.
Later, two fatally injured succumbed to their injuries at Noakhali Medical College Hospital.
A case was filed in this connection.
