DHAKA: Opposition BNP standing committee member Dr Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain Thursday said his party is ready for consultation over interim government structure.
The senior leader of the party came up with the disclosure while addressing a discussion organized by Creative Development Programme (CDP) at the National Press Club.
He said, “Awami League has not changed. Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had wanted to stay in power forming ‘Bakshal’. Sheikh Hasina now wants to make her seat permanent holding election under partisan government.”
Criticizing Home Minister Sahara Khatun’s recent remark, he said, “People are getting scared for home minister’s assertion towards homebound people before Eid vacation.”
With CDP Kawser Zaman Babla in the chair, the discussion was also addressed, among others, by BNP’s international affairs secretary ANM Ahsanul Haque Milon, Juba Dal president Advocate Moazzem Hossain Alal and Swechhasebak Dal president Habib-un-Nabi Khan Sohel.
