DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina hosted an Iftar party for notes personalities and civil society at her official residence Ganobhaban in the city on Friday.
A special prayer was offered seeking continued peace, progress and prosperity of the nation before the iftar.
Prayers were also offered seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Bangamata Fazilatunnesa Mujib and other victims of the August 15 massacre, four national leaders, martyrs War of Liberation, slain persons of August 21 carnage and heroes of democratic movements.
The premier exchanged greetings with the invited gusts during the religious fest.
Among others, noted personalities, artists, writers, poets, sports men and publishers attended the iftar.
