Sahara denies query on assassination, abduction

FROM JATIYA SANGSAD: Home Minister Sahara Khatun Thursday categorically said some 633 abduction cases were filed during the last year.

She denied replying the question of total assassination during the time.

The home minister came up with the disclosure while addressing the parliament in response to query from lawmaker Hossain Mokbul Shahriar in the question hour session of the parliament.

The ruling Awami League lawmaker said, “Among 633 abductions, the law enforcers managed to rescue some 436.”

She also told the House the law enforcers are alert preventing assassination and abduction.”
