DHAKA: The Bengal Art Lounge will arrange a lecture by Dan Morrison, a journalist, photographer and an author of ‘The Black Nile’ at its gallery at Gulshan Avenue in Dhaka.
The lecture titled ‘Nile and Ganges, Known and Unknown’ will be held at 6:00pm on June 29.
According to the organisers, Dan Morrison is the author of ‘The Black Nile’, a non-fiction account of his 3,600-mile journey down the length of the White Nile through Uganda, Sudan, and Egypt.
The Daily Beast called The Black Nile ‘a masterful narrative of investigative reportage, travel writing, and contemporary history’, and The Village Voice named its one of the Ten Best of 2010.
Currently at work on a book about the Ganges River, Dan Morrison also writes for National Geographic and contributes to the International Herald Tribune, Slate, The Arabist Network, and Foreign Policy, the organisers added.
