SYLHET: A defamation case was filed against ATN Bangla Chairman Dr. Mahfuzur Rahman for making defamatory remarks on Sylheti community.
Sylhet Ganodabi Parishad Advisor and Sylhet Public Interest Protection Committee President Akhlak Ahmed Chowdhury filed the case with Sylhet Cheif Judicial Magistrate Court on Thursday noon.
Justice Abu Syed Md Diljar Hossain ordered Kotwali Thana OC to investigate into the matter and submit charge sheet.
Earlier, Mahfuzur made insulting remarks on Sylheti community while addressing a programme in London.
