SYLHET: Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu categorically said that Awami League-led grand alliance has not formulated any Law or done any work to hinder mass media.
“Media friendly draft will be formulated for national broadcast policy within two months,” he added.
The minister came up with the disclosure while addressing a view exchange meeting at Sylhet Circuit House Friday.
Hasanul Haque Inu said, “The Private Television Policy will be beneficial to all including owners and employees. Besides, the initiative has been taken to bring the electronic media under wage board.”
He added that government will also formulate online newspaper friendly policy.
About torturing and killings, Inu told, they talked with the Home Ministry about the matter, and all data of torture and killings will be produced to Information ministry.
National parliament chief whip vice-principal Abdus Shahid, parliament member Shafikur Rahman and district administrator Abdus Jahir paid a courtesy call to him.
Meanwhile, Kalander Ali district president of Jatiyatabadi Samajtantrik Dal (JSD), general secretary Lokman Ahmad and metropolitan president Advocate Jakir Ahmad were present there.
