2 held with arms in city

DHAKA : Police held two people with armaments from city’s Goran Shipahibagh area in South Banasri late on Wednesday.

The detainees were identified as Rana, 45, and Mojibor Bepari, 37.

Police said a team led by Khilgaon Thana OC Shirajul Islam Sheikh held them as they violated the police signal to stop their car around 10:45pm.

Besides, police recovered a foreign pistol and three-round bullets from their possession.

Police sources said a case was filed against them under the arms act in the Khilgaon Thana.
